Hungarian electricity transmission system operator Mavir announced that the country’s ratio of electricity imports dropped to 28.2 % of total Hungarian electricity consumption in the the period January-July 2016, compared to 33.6 % recorded in the same period last year.
Most significant change was recorded in July, when the ratio of imported electricity dropped to 23.9 %, compared to 38.3 % in July 2015. According to Mavir, the reason for this decline is the unavailability of capacities due to maintenance in the base period.
