The head of Energy Market Directorate at National Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE), Marian Cernat said that the final price of electricity for households may decrease by 2-3 % as of 1 January 2017, due to the fact that distribution and transport fees will be decreased by 5-6 % on average.
Cernat explained that the reduction in network fees will determine a drop in the final price of electricity, depending on other elements of the final price such as the price of electricity at the market and taxes. For the clients who benefit from the universal service a decrease of price by some 2-3 % is expected in the coming period, Cernat said.
