Total electricity production in Montenegro in the January-April 2018 period amounted to 1,685 GWh or 39 % above planned, which means that 52 % of the annual plan has been achieved in the first four months of the year.
Executive Director for Energy Management at Montenegrin state-owned power utility EPCG, Darko Krivokapic said that good hydrological conditions during the previous period, as well as good reliability of production capacities, is the reason that hydropower plant Perucica generated 670 GWh of electricity in the observed period, which is 53 % more than planned and represents 73 % of the plant’s planned annual production. HPP Piva produced 508 GW, which is 85 % more than planned for the period and 68 % of the annual plan.
