Enel remains Romanian top electricity supplier – Romania, 9 February 2018

According to the data published by the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), at the end of October 2017, through its electricity supply companies (Enel Energie and Enel Energie Muntenia), Italian energy company Enel remains the leader in electricity supply to end customers with market share of 21 %.
The former leader, Electrica Furnizare, which was surpassed by Enel in May last year, had 19.05 % market shar. In the beginning of 2017, Electrica had a 12.83 % share on the competitive market, which dropped to 11.67 % at the end of October. Meanwhile, Enel’s market share on the competitive market increased from 13.54 % to 16.08 %, especially as a result of an increase in Enel Muntenia’s share on the market, which rose from 6.8 to 9.03 %.
