After the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has approved the second smart metering pilot project, electricity distributor Enel Romania will install over 110,000 smart meters in South Muntenia, Dobrogea and Banat in 2016.
The first pilot project was implemented last year and some 30,000 smart meters were installed. These two pilot projects will open the way for a large-scale installation of smart to meters of more than 2.5 million Enel’s customers in Romania.
