During the recent visit of Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to Bulgaria, Bulgaria and Greece have signed a joint declaration to continue and deepen their bilateral cooperation in many segments, especially in the energy sector.
The key feature in energy cooperation between these two countries is IGB natural gas interconnection, and the officials of both countries have pledged to intensify their efforts in the realization of IGB project, which offers potential for wider gas sources in the Balkans region, including LNG terminals and gas storage facilities.
