According to the data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (Turkstat), the country’s energy imports in April 2018 increased by 16.1 % compared to the same month last year and amounted to 3.11 billion dollars. In comparison, energy imports in April 2017 stood at 2.68 billion dollars.
However, the country’s crude oil imports recorded a decrease of 37.9 % this April compared to the same month in 2017. Turkey imported 1.47 million tons of crude oil in April 2018, compared to 2.38 million tons last April.
