The Romanian Ministry of energy informed that the final document regarding the country’s Energy Strategy for the period between 2016 and 2030, with an outlook for 2050, will be released around 16 September this year.
Between 9 March and 15 April, the Ministry of Energy has carried out a qualitative analysis of the energy sector in order to draft the Energy Strategy. According to the protocol of the latest meeting of the Romanian Ministry of Energy and the experts in this field on drafting the Energy Strategy, Romania is not uncompetitive in terms of oil and natural gas prices, but because of its internal regulations, therefore it is important that new oil taxation framework is adopted after all important factors are taken into consideration.
