French energy company Engie announced that it has acquired 60 % stake in Flashnet, the Romanian Internet of Things (IoT) company which develops intelligent energy management systems for cities.
The press release from the company said that the purchase was in line with the company’s ambition to become a leading worldwide player in the smart city and public lighting sector.
