Seven coalmines in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) operated by power utility EPBIH have produced a total of 2.026 million tons of coal in the first five months of 2016, which is 14.6 % more than in the same period last year. Therefore, in the first five months, coalmines delivered to thermal power plants 300,949 tons of coal more compared to January-May period last year.
These results were achieved due to combined efforts of EPBIH and the Federal Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining, which earlier this year adopted urgent measures in order to completely reorganize the operation of the mines.
