Serbian Minister of Energy Aleksandar Antic said at the 17th Serbian Economic Forum that the Government expects the European Union to grant 49.6 million euros for the construction of Serbian section of Serbia-Bulgaria gas interconnection under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance.
Minister Antic stressed that gas interconnections between Bulgaria and Serbia and Greece and Bulgaria are recognized by the EU as means of connecting southeastern Europe to the Southern Gas Corridor, which includes the Trans Anatolian (TANAP) and Trans Adriatic (TAP) gas pipelines, and the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals in Greece.
