US energy giant ExxonMobil has awarded a contract worth 5.54 million euros to Romanian subsidiary of British Halcrow Group which includes, among other things, the development of the environmental impact assessment study for the Neptun offshore block in the Black Sea.
Since 2008, ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Romania has been exploring large offshore perimeter in the Romanian part of the Black Sea, in cooperation with OMV Petrom and both companies invested about 1.5 billion dollars in the project. In early 2016, the consortium announced that it has completed the exploration works in the Neptun perimeter in the Black Sea.
