Four key issues for sustainable operation of Srbijagas – Serbia, 29 September 2016

The head of the World Bank office in Belgrade Tony Verheijen said at the press conference that the resolving of four issues is crucial for sustainable operation of Srbijagas.
Verheijen said that basically, there are four factors for achieving the sustainable operation of Serbian gas company Srbijagas. According to him, the first issue is finding a structural solution for the settlement of old debts. Preventing the creation and increase of new debts is the second issue, with the need to develop a mechanism that will ensure that Srbijagas does not supply natural gas to customers who are not able to pay for the delivered gas, thus making their debt to Srbijagas, Srbijagas’ debt to its suppliers.
