Speaking at the event organized by ICGB, a consortium behind the project for the construction of gas interconnection between Bulgaria and Greece (IGB pipeline), Bulgarian Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova said that there are additional four companies that have expressed interest to participate in the second phase of the market test, which includes submitting binding offers for pipeline’s capacity leasing.
Minister Petkova added that Bulgaria is interested in acquiring 25 % stake in Greek Alexandroupoli LNG terminal project. The event in Sofia was also attended by Greek Minister of Energy Panos Skourletis and the two officials discussed the IGB project, Alexandroupoli LNG terminal and the completion of works on the installment of reverse flow systems on existing gas pipeline between the two countries.
