Three companies, one from Bulgaria and two from Romania, have won a tender organized on 5 September by Romanian natural gas transmission system operator Transgaz for the allocation of gas pipeline capacity at the interconnection point Negru Voda 1 – Bulgaria.
These three companies are: Bulgarian state-owned gas company Bulgargaz, Romanian energy trader Transenergo SA and WIIE Romania SRL, which is controlled by Russian Gazprom. Romania was obliged under the EU regulations to provide third-party acces to transit gas pipeline Isaccea-Negru Voda, which was previously exclusively booked by Gazprom.
