Chief Commercial Officer of Ukrainian oil and gas company Naftogaz Yuriy Vitrenko said that Russian gas company Gazprom is seeking 50 billion dollars from Naftogaz in Stockholm arbitration hearings and its claims could increase up to 80 billion dollars.
At the press conference Vitrenko also discussed Naftogaz’ claim against Gazprom, which amounts to 30 billion dollars and may reach up to 50 billion dollars. He explained that Gazprom’s claims originate from the “take or pay” clause in the gas supply agreement between the two companies.
