In the first five months of 2016, Russian gas company Gazprom has increased natural gas exports to United Kingdom by 91.5 % to 3.8 billion cubic meters. During the same period, Gazprom’s total export to Europe has increased by 16.2 % to some 10 billion cubic meters of gas.
According to the Russian media, gas exports to certain EU countries have increased at different rates. Thus, gas exports to Germany have increased by 10.4 % in the January-June period, exports to Austria increased by 21.3 %, to France 35 %, Poland 35.6 %, Greece 85.8 %, Netherlands 103.8 %, while gas exports to Denmark rose by 193.3 %.
