General Electric to revitalize TPP Yatagan – Turkey, 23 June 2016

General Electric (GE) will perform revitalization of coal-fired thermal power plant Yatagan located in Mugla in Southwestern Turkey, said the statement from Bereket Energy, the company which operates the plant.
The statement said that the company has signed an agreement with GE in order to modernize three steam turbines and plant’s generators. This will increase the installed capacity of modernized unit from current 180 MW to 228 MW. The revitalization project will also raise the plant’s service capacity to 8,000 hours per year and will extend its operational life by additional 15 years.
