On today’s session, Croatian Government has changed its decision on granting concession to state-owned power utility HEP for the use of water power at the Croatia’s largest hydropower plant Zakucac.
In 1998, HEP was awarded a concession for the use of water power at 486 MW HPP Zakucac for the period of 33 years. Last September, HEP requested the amendment of the concession agreement in order to increase the installed water flow from 220 to 240 cubic meters per second, thus increasing the plant’s installed capacity from 486 to 576 MW.
