Romanian electricity producer Hidroelectrica will invest 23.69 million euros in the upgrade of one aggregate at its hydropower plant Calimanesti.
According to the statement from the company, the supplier of the equipment for the upgrade will be local company USM Resita and the works, performed by Hidroserv, will last for 12 months. Hidroelectrica’s President of the Board of Directors Bogdan Badea said that the upgrade of HPP Calimanesti is one of the first steps in the larger strategy for modernization and rehabilitation of the company’s hydropower plants.
