Romanian electricity producer Hidroelectrica will supply electricity to Bucharest public transport (RATB) and Bucharest subway operator Metrorex for a period of one year.
Metrorex tender, with estimated value of 13.8 million euros, was launched on 22 February and envisaged providing electricity at medium voltage in the amount of 195,000 MWh between 1 July 2018 and 30 June 2019. Five companies participated in the tender – Hidroelectrica, Enel Energie Muntenia, Electrica Furnizare, CEZ Vanzare and Tinmar Energy and Hidroelectrica’s offer was selected as most favorable. Hidroelectrica supplied electricity to Metrorex in the previous year as well.
