Montenegrin power utility EPCG announced that hydropower plant Perucica will be back online on 7 September following a regular overhaul which started on 8 August. The filling of HPP Perucica water system will start on 5 September, which includes filling of the reservoir, channels and tunnels, followed by the filling of the pipelines and testing the next day.
In related news, a report issued by Montenegrin electricity market operator COTEE shows that total electricity generation in July amounted to 212 GW, while some 39 % of that amount was produced from renewable energy sources, namely hydropower plants. In July, HPP Perucica produced 41 GWh of electricity, HPP Piva produced 39 GWh, while small hydropower plants were accounted for about 2 GWh.
