According to the media, the value of coalmine and thermal power plant (RiTE) Gacko in 2007, based on the value of its shares, was 474 million euros, while its current market value is just 5 million euros. Similar situation is with RiTE Ugljevik, which current market value amounts to about 5.5 million euros, while its value ten years ago was 352 million euros.
According to the Banja Luka Stock Exchange, the value of shares of these two companies are at a historic minimum. Experts say that the drastic decline in value of this shares is influenced by the accumulated debt of these companies. According to last year’s financial reports, RiTE Gacko reported a loss of 11.04 million euros, while RiTE Ugljevik reported a loss of 9.3 million euros.
