According to the data recently published by the EU statistics office Eurostat, energy consumption in Hungary has dropped almost 12 % in the last ten years.
The data related to 2005-2015 period show that energy consumption in the country was 27.6 million tons of oil equivalent in 2005, but, ten years later, the consumption dropped to 24.2 million tons of oil equivalent.
