At the meeting of the Ministers of Energy of Western Balkan countries, which was held in Skopje last week, it was concluded that Serbia has successfully carried out the implementation of “soft” energy measures.
Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Antic said that the process of the separation of gas distribution and gas transmission operators, on which the Energy Community insisted, is currently ongoing. However, Minister Antic stressed that Serbia lacks energy capacities and the number of energy facilities needs to be increased. Crucial to this matters is the agreement on the preparation of a joint study, a Master plan on the total regional hydro potential, since the hydro potential of the region is the thing that could bring all Western Balkan countries together, as it is something that all can agree about and utilize it together, Minister Antic concluded.
