The Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange (IBEX) has reported a new record in traded electricity quantities on its day-ahead market. On 18 May, a total of 16,250.6 MWh of electricity with a delivery date of 19 May were traded at an average price of 37.1 euros/MWh.
Out of the total volume, 10,045.2 MWh were earmarked for peak hours at an average price of 37.27 euros/MWh, while the remaining 6,205.4 MWh for off-peak at 36.93 euros/MWh. The previous record was set on 12 April 2017 with 15,979.8 MWh.
