According to the Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), imported natural gas will reach about 30 % of domestic gas consumption in September due to low gas prices in international markets.
Nevertheless, according to ANRE’s decision, household consumers must be supplied with domestically produced natural gas only. However, most of the imported gas will be supplied to competitive market and will be used by large industrial consumers. Smaller amounts of imported natural gas will be stored for later use during the forthcoming winter.
