Greek electricity distribution network operator DEDDIE announced that Intracom Telecom has been selected as the winning bidder at a pilot tender for the installation of initial batch of 200,000 smart meters, with an offer of 46 million euros.
The other bidder at the tender, a consortium consisting of OTE, Intrakat and Intrasoft International, submitted an offer of 62 million euros for the job, while the third contender, Chinese CMEC, withdrew from the bidding process earlier.
