During her visit to Lithuanian liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Klaipeda, Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic said that the floating LNG terminal on Krk island has a lot of potential to become a regional strategic project, beneficial not only to Croatia, but to other countries in the region, including Ukraine.
President Grabar-Kitarovic said that the European Commission in supporting this project, but the European bureaucracy takes a long time to make some actual moves regarding the project of the construction of LNG terminal in Croatia. She said that the idea to opt for floating terminal is very good, but the variant with the construction of land-based terminal should not be completely abandoned.
