Romanian Ministry of Energy said that it will allocate 2.85 million euros from the social security budget for 1,000 employees of electricity producer Energy Complex (EC) Oltenia, which will be laid-off during 2017. The total amount of state aid for laid-off workers in the 2017-2020 period will amount to some 15 million euros.
After the payout of 2.85 million euros from the state budget in 2017, the decision envisages the payment of additional 6.3 million euros in 2018, 4.5 million euros in 2019 and, finally, about 1 million euros in 2020.
