At about the same time as it becomes obvious that the project for the construction of coal-fired thermal power plant Plomin C will not be realized, Croatian media unofficially inform that a group of foreign investors is preparing a plan which it will present to the Croatian Government and according to which the group is interested in the construction of floating LNG terminal in Plomin.
It is still not known who these investors are, but unofficial information claim that it very likely that the vessel for regasification of liquefied natural gas (LNG) along with supporting infrastructure will be placed in Plomin and not in Omisalj on Krk island as it was previously planned. However, this group of investors did not participate in the public tender organized by LNG Hrvatska regarding the construction of much larger land terminal.
