The works on the construction of hydropower plant Vranduk on the Bosna river should be taken over by Croatian Koncar and local company Euroasfalt, which should be the new subcontractor instead of Austrian Strabag, who withdrew from the project.
The works on the construction of the first Bosnian HPP in the post-war period stopped a little over a year ago due to a dispute between the investor – Bosnian power utility EPBiH and Austrian Strabag as the contractor. In the meantime, EPBiH agreed to continue the works with Koncar-Euroasfalt consortium, but there is an issue with the World Bank which has to give EPBiH permission to change the contractor. However, it is still unclear when the new contracts should be signed.
