Metrorex, a company that manages subway network in Bucharest, has published a tender for the supply of electricity estimated at 13.8 million euros without VAT. It envisages a supply of some 195,000 MWh of electricity in the period between 1 July 2018 and 30 June 2019. The deadline for bids submission is 28 March 2018.
Metrorex is currently supplied by Romanian electricity producer Hidroelectrica who won the 12-months deal in 2017, as well as the one in 2016. The agreement signed in 2017 stipulated 12-months supply of electricity for almost 11 million euros, without VAT.
