Ministry of Energy dismisses non-transparency claims – Bulgaria, 6 June 2016

Bulgarian Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova dismissed the claims of alleged “backroom deals” in the recent process of obtaining bridge loan for the Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH).
Last week, opposition ABV party questioned the visit of the Ministry of Energy to Japan and the process of obtaining bridge loan for BEH, signed with a consortium of international banks in order to secure the repayment of debts to two US-owned thermal power plants.
