Following the estimate that the investment climate in Serbia was positive and that Serbia and the have great strategic and logistics importance, Mitan Oil decided to build an oil terminal in Smederevo.
Director of Mitan Oil Dusan Vukovic said that the project was realized as a greenfield investment, which means that the facility with a capacity of 50,000 cubic meters was built from the ground up. The investments of 25 million euros was financed exclusively from the company’s own funds, without relying on loans from local banks or state subsidies, which is a rarity in Serbia, Vukovic explains.
