Mayor of Vizvar Laszlo Kozma said that Hungarian oil and gas company MOL will start the production of natural gas in the Vizvar area near the border with Croatia in the first half of 2017.
The wells have been drilled few years ago and the commercial production should start soon. It is expected that four wells will produce 200,000 cubic meters of gas per day as well as 120 cubic meters of condensate. Current production is about 100,000 cubic meters and 25 tons of condensate per day. MOL’s total gas production in Hungary is between 4-5 million cubic meters, which means that these four wells will provide 4-5 % of total gas production in the country.
