Hungarian MOL Group has won the best Downstream company of 2016 title at the competition organized by the magazine Petroleum Economist. In addition to MOL Group, this year’s winners were Italian Eni as the best company engaged in exploration and Repsol as the petrochemical company of the year.
In 2015, downstream segment of MOL Group has achieved historically best result with clean CCS EBITDA (earnings before taxes, interest, depreciation and amortization) in the amount of 1.65 billion dollars and generated strong cash flow of more than a billion dollars. Nearly half of the amount of company’s EBITDA was the result of the cumulative effects of the program to improve internal efficiency of the group.
