Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said that Bulgaria could find private investors for the completion of cancelled project for the construction of nuclear power plant Belene, which could work on the project in cooperation with the state.
PM Borisov said that a private mode of construction would be much more suitable for NPP Belene construction, since Bulgaria has already accumulated huge losses by investing into the abandoned project. He stressed that when the state pays 557 million euros it will have two nuclear reactors, but currently it is not prepared to put aside roughly 20 % of country’s GDP for its construction.
