Romanian subsidiary of Austrian OMV Group – OMV Petrom announced that it is ready to start the experimental gas production at Padina gas field in southeastern Romania, in cooperation with Romanian company Hunt Oil.
Member of OMV Petrom’s Executive Board Peter Zeilinger said that the strat of production at Padina field shows the company’s commitment to continue investments for projects which prove viable, despite the unfavorable context due to low oil and gas prices, adding that with a portfolio consisting mostly of mature fields, Romania needs additional investments in order to continue oil and gas production.
