Romanian subsidiary of Austrian OMV Group, OMV Petrom is already the largest oil producer in Romania, but according to the latest report of National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), the company became the fourth largest electricity producer in the country.
Last year, OMV Petrom produced 3.46 TWh of electricity or about 5.7 % of Romanian total electricity production. The company produced more electricity than thermal power producers Electrocentrale Bucuresti and Energy Complex Hunedoara.
