The price of electricity on the Romanian exchange OPCOM has been steadily increasing throughout August and for the delivery day of 21 August, the price doubled compared to the beginning of the month.
Thus, on the OPCOM day-ahead market on 1 August, the price of electricity amounted to 35.7 euros/MWh, on 8 August the price rose to almost 50 euros/MWh, on 14 August it was almost 60 euros/MWh, while for 21 August the price reached 69.1 euros/MWh.
