CEO of Greek Public Power Corporation (PPC) Manolis Panagiotakis said that the debt collection company Qualco managed to collect about 25 million euros of unpaid receivables from a total of 180 million euros owed by 65,000 customers selected for the pilot program awraded to Qualco.
Panagiotakis stressed that the results of the pilot program are satisfactory, although the company’s total debt is still extremely high and has dropped only slightly since the beginning of the year. According to him, households, small businesses and other low-voltage customers owe about 1.7 billion euros to the company, medium-voltage customers owe about 150 million euros, high-voltage customers owe 370 million euros, while public sector owes some 200 million euros.
