According to Bulgarian National Statistical Institute, the production of electricity in August 2016 increased by 1 % compared to July, to 3,683 GWh, while deliveries of electricity decreased by 0.8 % on monthly basis and amounted to 2,565 GWh. Production of natural gas in August 2016 increased by 16.7 % compared to the previous month and amounted to 7 million cubic meters, while its deliveries increased by 2.5 % and amounted to 167 million cubic meters.
Compared to August 2015, the production of electricity has decreased by 10.3 %, while its deliveries increased by 0.8 %. The production of natural gas increased by 40 %, while its deliveries dropped by 14.4 % compared to August 2015.
