According to Bulgarian National Statistical Institute, the production of electricity in May 2016 increased by 5.1 % compared to April, to 3,094 GWh, while deliveries of electricity decreased by 0.5 % on monthly basis and amounted to 2,419 GWh. Production of natural gas in May 2016 increased by 16.7 % compared to last month and amounted to 7 million cubic meters, while its deliveries decreased by 0.4 % and amounted to 230 million cubic meters.
Compared to May 2015, the production of electricity has decreased by 6.2 %, while its deliveries increased by 2.8 %. The production of natural gas remained approximately at the same level, while its deliveries rose by 9.5 % compared to May 2015.
