Romanian Minister of Finance Eugen Teodorovici has confirmed that a draft bill aimed at setting the cap the price of domestically produced natural gas to 11.82 euros/MWh has been withdrawn.
Minister Teodorovici explained that the draft has been withdrawn because the Romanian market is still not ready for such move, but it will continue talks regarding the price capping and it could be implemented at some point in the future. A day ago, he defended the draft saying that two gas producers OMV Petrom and Romgaz have been unjustifiably increasing the price of natural gas.
