Croatian Energy Regulatory Agency (HERA) has initiated a public debate regarding the proposed methodology for determining the price for the calculation of balancing energy. The public hearing will be held from 18 May to 1 June.
According to the proposal, the reference deviation price is equal to the price on the Croatian power exchange (CROPEX), instead of the average price on the Hungarian and Slovenian electricity exchanges. The maximum value of the tolerance threshold is increased from 15 to 60 MWh in order to take into the account the possibility od planning and specific cost of balancing the larger balance groups. The minimum value of tolerance threshold is increased as well, from 1 to 2 MWh in order to reduce the cost of calculating deviations for smaller suppliers.
