RCS & RDS tripled its household customers base in 2017 – Romania, 22 March 2018

The number of household customers of electricity supplier RCS & RDS has tripled in 2017, but the total amount of electricity the company supplied in the past year has halved, because it lost a large number of commercial customers.
According to the company’s data, there were 70,698 household customers subscribed to its Digi Energy package at the end of 2017, compared to 22,314 customers in the beginning of the year. On the other hand, the number of large commercial customers of the company fell from 272 at the end of 2016 to just 24 at the end of last year. The number of small non-household consumers also fell from 16,193 to 7,073.
