Croatian and Slovenian operators signed an agreement on SINCRO.GRID project – Region, 28 October 2016

Croatian and Slovenian electricity transmission system operators HOPS and ELES, as well as electricity distribution system operators HEP-ODS and SODO, have signed an agreement on mutual partnership that establishes a basis for the application of SINCRO.GRID project to obtain funds from the European CEF program.
The purpose of the SINCRO.GRID project is to use advanced technical systems and algorithms to manage power flows in order to improve the quality of voltage in electricity networks and increase the transmission capacity of existing lines, thus ensuring better integration of renewable energy into electricity system and increased the security of supply.
