The Slovenian Energy Agency has published an annual report on the state of the country’s energy sector in 2017, which concludes that electricity and natural gas supply last year was quality and competitive.
Electricity consumption in 2017 increased by 2.7 % compared to 2016, while the price of electricity for households in the second half of 2017 was by 1 % lower compared to the same period in 2016. Domestic electricity production of 12 TWh covered 82.9 % of Slovenia’s demand, so import dependency of 17.1 % was the second highest in the last eight years.
