Romanian gas producer Romgaz and the National Agency for Mineral Resources (ANRM) decided to continue gas exploration activities at eight gas fields through a new work program covering the period between 2016 and 2021.
The press release from Romgaz said that during the exploration, development and production of natural gas during the period 2011-2016, the company executed petroleum exploration operations in eight blocks. Thus, the exploration activities in the Transylvanian Basin, Moesian Platform and Moldavian Platform were intensified, and in these perimeters, 4,705 square kilometers of 3D seismic acquisitions were executed, 70 exploration wells were drilled and contingent resources of about 17 billion cubic meters of gas were confirmed.
